Centro Colombo Americano, Bogotá

The Centro Colombo Americano, Bogotá is a Bi-national Center (BNC), originally an initiative by the U.S. Embassy and local Colombian leaders to promote relations between the U.S. and Latin America. One of nine similar centers in Colombia and far more across the continent, the BNCs have established themselves for years as leaders in English language teaching and cultural expression.

Today the Centro Colombo Americano, or “the Colombo” is an independent cultural foundation with one of the oldest and largest English language programs in the country. The Colombo's activities and services include a full cultural program, public library, and student advising center promoting education in the U.S. All activities are central to the mission of the institution, but the most important and well-known is its English language program, serving 15,000 students monthly.
